Non-BM Ancillary Services

The NBM AS Module supports the submissions and instructions required for NESO Non-BM ancillary services products, including Slow Reserve (SR) following successful bids using the Genstar4 EAC Module.

It handles the communications with NESO via API with the Open Balancing Platform (OBP).

The NBM AS Module provides APIs to allow submissions to be pushed to Genstar4 from an optimisation engine (e.g. Atom) and to push NESO instructions to an optimisation engine or control system.

Submission messages to NESO supported by the NBM AS Module are:

• Availability submission
• Physical Notification submission
• Heartbeat submission
• Instruction confirmation

NESO messages supported by the NBM AS Module are:

• Instructions (Dispatch / Cease)
• Availability confirmation
• Physical Notification confirmation
• Heartbeat NACK endpoint

Genstar4 also provides full support for VLPs, AMVLPs and VTPs with the Genstar4 Virtual Party Module.
